FURNITURE FOR LIFE

An Adaptable Family Heirloom

This project was to design a piece of furniture for the future, a future with less living space and an aging population that quite often have to get rid of old treasured furniture pieces for lack of space or need. I wanted the piece to have an ability to store memories and feel nostalgic. This prototype works to show the ability to be used as a cot, a short children's table and then also as a side table. The top has pieces that can easily be customised to hold and cherish meaningful fabrics.
